a weird but inventive trilogy of albums made by a guy that varies of names (c0ncernn/leroy/dltzk). i dsicovered the dariacore trilogy at Rate your music while trying to dig myself more into the genre of electronic music since before that rock and rap were dominate in my playlists, i wanted something new though and being with daria as a whole the title intrigued me. i started with dariacore 2 and god is it great. it has a great mixture of mashup, nightcore, hardcore edm, future bass, and general dance music with sampling of popular songs and having the aesthetic one would find in the space of hyperpop artists, in fact some of the samples of the album are from the artist fishmonger, a well known hyperpop artist thats great on its own. all of these elements and how each song is arranged makes the album a very memorable experience that one should divulge into even if you dont like it itself, it was definitely a weird album to describe but i hope this summarizes it best without using humor to describe the sound. my personal favorite song is the dariacore to the YTP pipeline.
i listened to he first dariacore shortly after and i think its evident that leroy was still trying to find and solidify the sound he was going for with dariacore, feeling more experimental as a result yet also still be consistent when arranged and showing inspiration from digicore, brostep, and mashcore. its a very good start for things to come for the project but id still recommend dariacore 2 to anybody who is new to genres that the album is associated with as well as starting to listen to leroy's music in general. favorite songs are 2008, theyfriend, and ricky bobby.
dariacore 3 would be the last album that leroy would work on as its the last album he'll work on under the dariacore name and what a way to go. a strong album that delivers what we are familiar with but also strong on its own. i feel like it doesnt rely too much on the hyperpop aesthetic too either and now has a foundation on what it used to build upon, mashup, nightcore, and EDM are best used here in songs like damn! we got it bad: you'll never guess what happens next, her head is soooo rolling!! love her, and the joke is on you. theres not a whole else to say really that hasnt already been said so ill leave it like that. thanks for reading i guess.
