oh man new followers i guess that frog collab really did a number huh? i dont have much planned right now for uploading anything as I've been busy with turning my life around and set making music as a main goal for me again for college. I haven't done art since my last art upload but i've only put it aside to put my time elsewhere. still very much interested in doing it as a hobby at best.thanks for following me and reading this.

a band from Amherst, Massachusetts. while they didnt start the emoviolence genre, it and other bands like jeromes dream would solidify the defining sound it would become to be known for around the end of the 90s. starting their lineup with Chaos is me released in june of 1999. taking influence from powerviolence bands and what emoviolence was before they came along. they created an adrenaline rushing album that also echoes dread and anger that sounds like it hasn't been let out for so long and all this happening in just 19 minutes with epilogue of a car crash being the only one to pass the 3 minute mark. this along with songs like invasion USA, New jersey VS Valhalla, le Desordre, C'est Moi, and the action index are what make the album shine brightest and breed new potential for the growing subgenre at the time. a year later they would do it again

released around the end of 2000, dance tonight! revolution tomorrow! would arguably be the band's most famous album to release as well as their shortest, lasting for only about 15 minutes. but what a 15 minutes it is. the opening track destination: blood is a great opener to the album and songs like lights out, I am Nietzche, Don't rate out your friends, black hills. And the cat turned to smoke (the longest song in the album) would be some of the best songs the band has ever made with their familiar sound being more structured and polished than their last album and resulting in a raw, passionate, and fast album that is largely considered to define the sound of emo violence. even in release vinyls came in different colors like red, blue, black, yellow, and even clear.

in 2002 orchid decided to switch to a more traditional screamo and post hardcore sound with their final album gatefold released in july of that year along with a compilation containing their prior work into one, after which they broke up soon after. gatefold itself isnt a bad album to finish off the trilogy of work they made despite them straying away from their prior sound. i think its a good homage to the genre they were involved when they started. the lyrics are easier to understand here and there is more room to breath here while still retaining their raw sound and lyricism while going for the direction they went with. sounding more like bands like at the drive in terms of its post hardcore aspect and in Jayson green's vocals. its also their longest album to date, lasting over 24 minutes but not having a single song pass 3 minutes with the aong loft party being the longest one. both parts of Amherst pandemonium are great starters to the album while songs like No, we dont have t-shirts, i wanna fight, we love prison, and chaos aint me are short and sweet as well as with longer songs like with the afro mentioned loft party and trail of the unknown body all with great guitar work from Will Killingsworth. its a great album to finish off what the band contributed over the years overall and one that can stand on its own as well as its comes off as more complex and mature from the others.

a weird but inventive trilogy of albums made by a guy that varies of names (c0ncernn/leroy/dltzk). i dsicovered the dariacore trilogy at Rate your music while trying to dig myself more into the genre of electronic music since before that rock and rap were dominate in my playlists, i wanted something new though and being with daria as a whole the title intrigued me. i started with dariacore 2 and god is it great. it has a great mixture of mashup, nightcore, hardcore edm, future bass, and general dance music with sampling of popular songs and having the aesthetic one would find in the space of hyperpop artists, in fact some of the samples of the album are from the artist fishmonger, a well known hyperpop artist thats great on its own. all of these elements and how each song is arranged makes the album a very memorable experience that one should divulge into even if you dont like it itself, it was definitely a weird album to describe but i hope this summarizes it best without using humor to describe the sound. my personal favorite song is the dariacore to the YTP pipeline.

i listened to he first dariacore shortly after and i think its evident that leroy was still trying to find and solidify the sound he was going for with dariacore, feeling more experimental as a result yet also still be consistent when arranged and showing inspiration from digicore, brostep, and mashcore. its a very good start for things to come for the project but id still recommend dariacore 2 to anybody who is new to genres that the album is associated with as well as starting to listen to leroy's music in general. favorite songs are 2008, theyfriend, and ricky bobby.

dariacore 3 would be the last album that leroy would work on as its the last album he'll work on under the dariacore name and what a way to go. a strong album that delivers what we are familiar with but also strong on its own. i feel like it doesnt rely too much on the hyperpop aesthetic too either and now has a foundation on what it used to build upon, mashup, nightcore, and EDM are best used here in songs like damn! we got it bad: you'll never guess what happens next, her head is soooo rolling!! love her, and the joke is on you. theres not a whole else to say really that hasnt already been said so ill leave it like that. thanks for reading i guess.

Im liking the style i have so far, cartoonish but also with realistic elements thrown in, like with mike judge and his work on beavis and butthead and king of the hill. My bass has also been alright and i hope i get the same results like with my growth on art so wish me luck i guess or idfk. Thats all for now.

Take care :)
